good weekend

i was able to go to this really cool fair in the city on saturday. it was a bunch of cool crafts. then i went scrapbooking. i will post a page i did.we had swim lessons this morning and then kyle was at his summer week of preschool. its called summer fun. its just a week of fun things to do. ethan just went to karate then we will do some swimming in the backyard. the air has finally cleared and the temp has dropped. it was beautiful today. i cant believe school starts at the end of aug. its just to soon. mikes working today and home tomorrow. kyle decided to dump his huge box of legos all over the tv room floor. he promised he would pic them up. this should be interesting. .

heat wave

so we have been in a heat wave. the smoke doesnt help. it is always hazy because of all the fires. we have spent alot of time at the pool.  ethan is a swimmer. its really nice not to have to watch him like a hawk. i just have to watch kyle. but this will be his year to learn. yesterday we went to san jose. we ate lunch at wahoos. its my favorite place to eat. then we went over to a friends house for dinner. they just got one of those huge new play structures so the boys had fun. i worked thursday night and hadnt slept. so by 7 i was asleep on my friends couch. but the weather has cooled so the kids played. poor kyle was so tired he slept in until 930 this morning. mike is working today. people always ask me if he is out on those fires. no , he stays home at his dept. they have special teams for those fires and alot of those people are volunteer and inmates or national gaurd. its back breaking work. but he is now an official firefighter/paramedic/engineer. im still nursing. i work about one twelve hour shift a week. i have two jobs. i work at kaiser as a case manager in the er and then as an er nurse at another place in san ramon. nursing is the best job for flexible hours and pretty good pay. so to day im going scrapbooking. i will post some of my stuff next time. it takes me about 4 hours to do one page . im very into the details. my pages are more like craft art. but i enjoy it. i will post a picture of my aunt and ethan. ethans driving her kabuta..

doughboy

so we bought one of those blow up pools because we cant have pool with such small kids. i have heard to many horror stories of people kids drowning in their own pools. some day when they are older we will have a real pool. so until then the doughboy rules.  its great. it has a filter and a cover and the kids can stand up in it. today we went to a birthday party for one of kyles classmates. it was fun. then we took a break and had some play dates. after the play dates we went in the pool. so i will post some pics of the pool. its great fun and at the end of the day its the perfect temp in the backyard. . . . . also put in a pic of grandmama making marshmellows with ethan and papa cowboy with kyle. hi papacowboy!

happy 4th

we had a great time in catalina. we drove down on a weds and took the boat over. stayed until sunday. the kids got to play with their cousins and we got to eat alot of food. saw my sister and my mom. then we came back to the mainland and went over to mikes grandparents house for the night. that was fun. we drove home up the coast and stayed with my aunt penny for the night.. very relaxing. i didnt bring the pack and play so the baby slept in the bath tub. it worked pretty well. we checked out a really nice rv place in pismo beach. we will have to go back. then we made it home. today we went to the parade in our little town. the boys road their bikes.  we went to the pool yesterday. the weather has been amazing and the pool was great. it was a good trip. the kids are actually really good travelers but its still tiring. so its good to be home. we will be back down in socal in aug for another trip to catalina. got the kids singed up for swim lessons. i will put in some pics of the trip. . . . .

birthday weekend

had a great birthday party. the pool was a hit. lots of kids and my two best friends made it up. will put a couple of pics in. we also had papa cowboy up. . i will be down south for a week . will post when we get back. .

a long week

we had agreat fathers day. i made breakfast and we just hung out and relaxed all day. i made strawberry pancakes and banana pancakes. the strawberry seemed to be the better choice. we had really good maple sausage and eggs, toast, o.j. it was really good. we got ethan started in his karate again. we found a new place since his old place closed down. so he does that two days a week and i need to get the boys into swim lessons. we have a pool in our development. so its about two blocks away and its an olympic size. the lessons are great and not expensive. ethan actually learned to swim last year and kyle will this year . he is ready.  we have the boys combined birthday party on sunday. i got a jumpy with a slide coming and i need to get a cake. i already made them cakes on their actual b-day so im goign to  buy on from coldstone. i love ice  cream cakes. my favorite ice cream is cake batter from coldstone. when we go to catalina i always get some. you have to get to the store early in catalina because if you wait they will sell out of cake batter by about 7 at night.we think the boys got bit by a spider on the rv trip. they both sleep above the cab in the rv and they both have the same bite on their back. i think its the brown recluse. it looks like their bite. only ten percent of the bites become necrotic but they take about 8 weeks to heal. luckily they dont hurt and the boys cant really see the bites so they dont mess with them. so i will be 39 on saturday. i cant believe im so old. mikes dad will be up for the birthday party and so will my two best friends. they are coming up fro so cal. i will put in some pics of fathers day. . . . i put in two pics by mistake. sorry

ethan is 6 today

today is ethans birthday. he had a good day. he had waffles for breakfast and then opened a couple of gifts. then he got some birthday phone calls and had to go across the street to another birthday party. tonight we went to daddies fire station and had some ice cream cake and played. im exhausted. poor mike has been fighting fires. there have been tons of brush fires. the heat is up and the humidity is down. not a good combo. im going to bed. will put in a pic of the bithday boy. .

redwoods

we took the rv out and went to the redwoods. it was great. not many people out because school isnt out yet. we found the tree that you can drive thru. that was great. of course we are to big to drive thru.  then by that tree was a beautiful pond. we walked over to look at that water. as im looking into the water i see lots of big frog eyeballs looking out. then we notice that by our feet in the grass are thousands of baby frogs. they are everywhere. the kids went crazy . picking up little frogs. i tried my best not to step on any. when had a picnic and then moved on. at one point we stayed by the russian river. it was great for the kids to play in. i will put in pictures of smore making. poor kyle fell asleep in the rv and missed dinner and smores on friday night. we got to ride bikes and play alot. it was a wonderful trip. next time we hope to make it up to eureka. so we made it as far as Ave Of The Giants. we are home now cleanig up. mike had to work. the baby is walking all over the place and playing alot with his brothers. ethans last day of school is on weds and his birthday is on thursday. he will be 6. he is so tall and skinny. have a great weekend. heather.

kyle is 4 years old

kyle turned 4 on saturday. i made a speed racer cake and he loved it. he helped me make it. we also had to go to another birthday party for a friend. kyle did great. im sure its hard to go to somebody elses party on your birthday. daddy had to take ethan to his last baseball game on saturday. then i went out to see sex and the city.there were twelve of us. it was a great movie. today we went to ethans baseball awards breakfast. ethan got the nickname smiley and was told that he was the happiest player. he also won the team banner. they gave it away in a raffle. so it was a busy but great weekend.  i got to see the movie preview for mama mia. it looks great. it has meryl streep in it. i cant wait. i will put in some pics....
